For the effective protection of wood, Venifloor uses specialised coatings which are precisely tailored to the specific needs of the material. They are based on natural plant oil and wax.
The oil penetrates deeply into wood pores to protect and nurture it from the inside. On the other hand, the wax creates a flexible air-permeable outer layer which protects wood against external conditions.
This dual action makes the oil-wax coating more effective than standard coating systems:
STANDARD OIL COATING SYSTEMS
- protect the wood from the inside
- do not form an air-tight film
- do not form a protective coating
LACQUER AND WATER COATING SYSTEMS
- protect the wood from the outside
- form an air-tight film
- form a thick coating
OIL AND WAX COATING
- protects the wood from the inside and outside
- does not form an air-tight film
- forms a porous protective coating
ADVANTAGES OF
STANDARD OIL COATINGS
- penetrate into wood
- strengthen wood
- easy and selective renovation possible
- do not crack, flake or delaminate
ADVANTAGES OF
LACQUER AND WATER COATING
- creates a coating that adheres to the wood surface
- good resistance to liquids
- protects against wood abrasion
- easy care
ADVANTAGES OF
OIL AND WAX COATING
- penetrates into wood and forms a protective, porous coating
- strengthens wood
- easy and selective renovation possible
- does not crack, flake or delaminate
- good resistance to liquids
- easy care
DISADVANTAGES OF
STANDARD OIL COATINGS
- weak resistance to liquids
- time-consuming care
DISADVANTAGES OF
LACQUER AND WATER COATING
- renovation possible only after a thorough floor sanding of the entire surface
- the surface cannot be repaired locally
- the coating breaks, flakes and delaminates
